I've always wanted to draw the Contessa when she was younger, and a conversation with

this weekend got me in the mood to do it. It was the pigtails that decided it in the end.

This is roughly 10 years before she gets Exalted by the Silver Prince--she's around 15 or 16, I think. Which kind of makes Lance a cradle-robber, since he was already Exalted by this time. Ah, well. When you live for centuries, a couple decades tend to make less of a difference.

The thing is, they manage to make "The Guild" sound imposing, when it's really the equivalent of leaving the name blank on the guild application form (though I don't think "Insert Guild Name Here" would have worked half as well.)

Makes me want to gen a character with the known anathema flaw called "The Solar"
